Dr. Andrew Borg Cardona

Andrew Borg-Cardona LL.D., M. A. (Business Law) As consultant to Law at Work  Malta, Andrew specialises in providing timely and practical advice in all aspects of employment and industrial relations.

Andrew was called to the Bar in 1980, after which he obtained a masters in Business Law from the City of London Polytechnic Business School. During his appointment as first Assistant Secretary-General and then Secretary-General of the Malta Employer's Association from 1980 to 1988, Andrew represented members of the Association in all aspects of industrial relations advocacy.

Andrew has been involved in numerous significant employment related disputes and has assisted a number of Malta's largest employers in trade disputes that have resulted in the development of the law and practice in the area. Most of all, his practical approach and in-depth knowledge of employment related issues will prove to be an invaluable asset for our clients.

Andrew is also a lecturer in labour and commercial law at the University of Malta and a member of the MdR Fraud Network, an international network co-ordinated by the London solicitors Mishcon de Reya that enables members to be of mutual assistance, particularly in the area of fraud prevention and detection and asset recovery and protection.
